3M™ Four-Wall Header, 2500 Series is a 2.54 x 2.54 mm wire-to-board connector with a low-profile design that provides design flexibility and saves space. Various versions and board mounting options make the 3M Header 2500 series perfect for a wide range of applications. Its high-temperature insulator allows the header to be used for "no-lead" soldering operations. The through-hole version is ideal for reflow soldering using "paste-in-hole" techniques. Centre slot polarisation makes insertion faster and helps prevent mis-insertions.
On most board mounting versions, 3M™ Four-Wall Header 2500 Series features dual-slot polarisation, which makes the header more broadly compatible with common polarisation designs in the field. It is available in a right-angle version with exposed solder tails for easier cleaning and lower repair costs. The header is also available in a straight-surface mount version for designs without through-holes. All versions are available gold plated in 0.762 µm or 0.254 µm for applications that require added resistance to oxidation and corrosion. An optional retainer clip locks sockets in place, helping increase connection reliability in vibration-prone environments.
