The 3M™ Shielded/Jacketed, Flat Cable, 3517 Series is a jacketed flat ribbon cable that delivers optimal performance for applications that require improved signal integrity. Size 28 AWG (0.08 mm2) stranded wire on 1.27 mm centres allows for easy mass termination to a broad range of IDC connectors for quick and convenient installation. This cable features a 360° expanded copper shielding, which provides average shielding effectiveness of 20 dB, helping ensure signal integrity and protection against EMI. The expanded copper material also makes mass termination easier, especially when compared to solid material. Two optional 28 AWG (0.08mm2) drain wires carry unwanted electrical noise to ground away from the circuit. Manufactured in North America, this shielded flat ribbon cable is zippable for easy branching and discrete terminations. 3M™ Shielded/Jacketed, Flat Cable, 3517 Series is made from PVC insulation and jacket material for durability and meets the external wiring requirements of the US Electrical Code, Article 725 (CL2). It's also UL-listed for US and Canadian markets.
